Lama Jigmé Namgyal was born in 1973 into a nomadic family in Golog, Tibet. At the age of eight, he joined the
Tratsok Monastery. Ten years later, he continued his spiritual path to Serthar Larung Gar, the prestigious Buddhist
Institute of Khenpo Jigmé Phuntsok Rinpoche, where he immersed himself in Buddhist teachings and other essential
subjects. After his studies, Lama Jigmé himself taught countless monks and lay people in Tibet.
On the advice of his teachers, he took the big step of leaving Tibet and moving to Europe. Although he did not speak
a European language at the time and was unfamiliar with the culture, he quickly learned English through work and
gained a deep insight into Western society. In the meantime, he has established two thriving centers in Europe: the
Centre Culturel Tibétain in Luxembourg and Phuntsok Chö Ling in Rotterdam.
Lama Jigmé Rinpoche is not only a realized meditation teacher with broad spiritual expertise, but he also provides
training in leadership, end-of-life care, and interreligious dialogue. He travels the world to share his knowledge within
